Organising the care of bouquets in a box or basket

Care of flowers in a box or basket

Rules of care:

  • If flowers are placed in a plastic container, it is necessary to change the water daily. If the box is placed in a floral sponge, then it should be watered every other day, making sure that it drains excess liquid.
  • For flowers placed on a sponge, periodic spraying is not superfluous, especially on hot days. Withered leaves and buds should be removed in good time.
  • Special nutrient solutions can prolong the life of flowers.
  • Place a box or basket with flowers should be placed away from heating devices and direct sunlight.
  • For bouquets of roses it will be useful to add a few ice cubes. Roses do not tolerate heat well, so cold will help prolong their freshness.
